7 Foods That Are Secretly Causing Your Hair to Fall Out

7 Foods That Are Secretly Causing Your Hair to Fall Out Some of the foods that feel most comforting, most familiar, and most completely part of daily life are the ones that are quietly and consistently sabotaging your hair health. Not dramatically. Not overnight. But slowly and steadily, in a way that shows up in your brush, in your shower drain, and in the thinning you notice at your temples and your part. Understanding the connection between what you eat and how your hair grows is not about guilt or restriction. It is about making informed decisions. Start with a clean diet for glowing skin and hair growth to understand exactly what your hair needs, then use this post to identify what may be working against it. These seven foods are the most common dietary contributors to hair loss in women across the world. You will recognise all of them. Some of them you may eat every day.   1. The Simple Natural Skincare Routine That Works for Every Skin Type

simple natural skincare routine

There is an overwhelming pressure in the beauty world to have a 12-step skincare routine with products that cost more than a month's groceries. And I want to gently but firmly push back against that pressure today, because the most glowing skin I have ever seen in my life has belonged to women who could not name a single product in that expensive lineup.

Natural skin, real skin, beautifully healthy skin does not come from the most expensive serum or the most exotic ingredient. It starts with what you eat because your skin is built from the inside out.

It comes from consistency, simplicity, and giving your skin what nature designed it to receive. That includes the six organic oils every woman needs for glowing skin and healthy hair.

A simple natural skincare routine is all you need. And the one I am sharing with you today costs a fraction of what most people spend and outperforms products that charge you more for packaging than for the contents.

This routine works for every skin type and for women of every ethnicity. Whether your skin is oily, dry, combination, sensitive, dark, light, acne-prone, or mature, the principles here apply to you.

Step 1: Cleanse with Raw Honey

Honey is one of the most extraordinary substances in nature. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, deeply moisturizing, and gentle enough for the most sensitive skin. Using raw honey as a cleanser dates back to ancient Egypt and remains one of the most effective ways to cleanse your face without stripping it of its natural oils. Honey is also the hero ingredient in five DIY natural beauty recipes you can make in your kitchen tonight.

To use it: wet your face with warm water. Take about half a teaspoon of raw honey and massage it gently over your face in circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then splash cool water to close your pores. Your skin will feel clean but not tight. That is exactly how a cleanser should feel.

The women I know with the most consistently clear skin use honey as their primary cleanser morning and evening. Dermatologists charge a fortune for gentle cleansers that try to replicate what honey does naturally and for free.

Raw honey cleanses without stripping, hydrates without clogging, and calms without chemicals. It is the cleanser your skin has been waiting for.

Step 2: Tone with Rose Water or Green Tea

After cleansing, your skin needs to be balanced before you apply anything else. Toning does exactly that. It restores the skin's pH, tightens pores, and prepares the skin to absorb whatever comes next.

Rose water is made by distilling rose petals with steam, and the result is a beautifully fragrant, deeply soothing liquid that works as a toner for every skin type. It is particularly wonderful for sensitive and dry skin. You can find it at most health stores and many local markets, especially in North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, where it has been used for centuries.

For oily or acne-prone skin, cooled green tea makes an exceptional toner. Brew a strong cup of green tea, let it cool completely, pour it into a spray bottle, and mist it over your face after cleansing. The antioxidants in green tea reduce inflammation, shrink the appearance of pores, and keep oil production balanced throughout the day.

Step 3: Moisturize with Aloe Vera Gel

Pure aloe vera gel is the closest thing to a miracle moisturizer that nature has ever produced. It is 99% water, which means it hydrates skin intensely without adding oil or causing congestion. It contains vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and polysaccharides that form a protective layer on the skin, locking in moisture throughout the day.

For women with oily or combination skin, aloe vera alone is often enough as a daytime moisturizer. It gives you that dewy, hydrated glow without ever feeling heavy or greasy.

For women with dry skin, apply aloe vera first while your skin is still slightly damp from toning, then immediately follow with two drops of jojoba or argan oil to seal in moisture. This combination keeps even the driest skin soft and plump all day.

Step 4: Protect with Natural Oils (Evening Routine)

In the evening, your skin goes into repair mode. This is when it regenerates, produces collagen, and heals from the day's exposure to sun, pollution, and stress. Giving it the right oils in the evening greatly amplifies this natural process.

Rosehip oil: The gold standard for uneven skin tone, dark spots, and acne scars. Rich in vitamin A and fatty acids. Use 3 to 4 drops massaged gently into the face after your aloe vera moisturizer.

Argan oil: Often called liquid gold, argan oil is extraordinarily rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It sinks into the skin quickly, leaving no residue, and is particularly transformative for mature or very dry skin.

Jojoba oil: Technically a liquid wax, jojoba oil mimics the skin's own sebum so closely that it is accepted by every skin type without causing breakouts. It is the most universally compatible face oil in nature.

The right face oil at night is not greasy. It is nourishing. It is the difference between waking up to tight, dull skin and waking up to skin that genuinely glows before you have applied a single thing.

Step 5: Weekly Exfoliation with Sugar and Lemon

Once a week, your skin needs to shed the old cells that have accumulated on the surface. Natural exfoliation removes that dull layer and reveals the brighter, fresher skin underneath. You do not need a chemical peel or a dermatologist appointment for this.

Mix one tablespoon of fine white or brown sugar with half a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey. Apply to your face in gentle circular motions for two minutes, then rinse with warm water. The sugar exfoliates physically, the lemon provides vitamin C and mild natural brightening, and the honey soothes any redness immediately.

This scrub is suitable for all skin tones and should be done in the evening, as lemon can temporarily make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
